Press release

A new year marks a moment of transition, bringing change and the possibility of progress. We live in a time where everything seems unstable. A time that at moments appears to move backwards rather than forwards. Against this shifting backdrop, we choose to direct our gaze ahead, making a conscious movement forward.

The show In Motion is therefore dedicated to movement: a theme that can be traced both in the transformation of our exhibition space and in a new composition of our solo exhibitions, marked by the arrival of kinetic artist Jelle Korevaar, photographer Cooper Seykens, and sculptor Hans van Bentem.

Their work is of a completely different nature, yet they meet in the presence of movement. Jelle’s work lives by the grace of moving, sustainable, and carefully collected elements, giving a fresh form to his critical thinking on the divine and his fascination for nature and social connections.

Cooper, on the other hand, captures movement in photographic images that seem to have neither a beginning nor an end, carefully frozen in time and revealing the beauty of Mexican culture and tradition.

Hans van Bentem approaches movement through composition and transformation: his sculptural works consist of modular elements that can be rearranged and reinterpreted, bringing together craftsmanship, cultural exchange and a constant shift in meaning.

Our gallery space has also been transformed: walls have been moved and new pathways have been created, expanding both in size and in artistic range.

Move along with us, and witness movement as a force that shapes space, time and perception.
